PocketID ("we", "our", or "the App") is a local-first document management application. We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how PocketID handles your information.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

PocketID is designed with a privacy-by-architecture approach. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to:

• Your scanned documents or images
• Personal information such as name, email, or phone number
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Location data
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Crash logs or diagnostic data

2. Local Data Storage

All documents you scan and store in PocketID are saved exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you enable iCloud sync.

3. iCloud Sync

If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in a CloudKit private database associated with your personal Apple ID. Key points:

• Only you can access data in your CloudKit private database
• The developer has no ability to read, access, or retrieve your synced data
• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
• You can disable iCloud sync at any time in your device's Settings

4. Camera and Photo Library

PocketID requests access to your camera to scan documents. Images captured are processed entirely on-device and are not transmitted to any external server. Photo library access, if granted, is used solely to import existing images for document storage.

5. Biometric Authentication

PocketID uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework to support Face ID and Touch ID. Biometric data is managed entirely by the device's Secure Enclave. PocketID never accesses, stores, or processes your biometric data.

6. In-App Purchases

PocketID offers optional subscriptions through Apple's StoreKit framework. All purchase transactions are processed by Apple. We receive transaction receipts to verify your subscription status, but we do not have access to your payment details (credit card number, billing address, etc.).

Purchase history data is used solely to determine whether Pro features should be unlocked. This data is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking.

7. Third-Party Services

PocketID does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external services involved are Apple's native frameworks (StoreKit, CloudKit, LocalAuthentication).

8. Children's Privacy

PocketID does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal data from any user, the App is safe for users of all ages.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
